ABOUT BOOKS
About Books is a second generation bookstore located near
beautiful Georgian Bay in downtown Owen Sound. We have a
booth at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market every Saturday
morning year-round 7:00am-12:30pm and our shop is open for
exploration by appointment. Sundays our bargain books can be
found at our stall at The Rockford Flea Market, ten minutes south
of Owen Sound (9:00am-4:00pm).
We focus on second hand, out-of-print and antiquarian books in
most subjects with a special interest in Natural and Domestic
Sciences, Gardening and History.
We have been members of the Antiquarian Booksellers’
Association of Canada and the International League of
Antiquarian Booksellers for over 25 years.

Buying: We buy quality books in good condition especially in our
areas of interest. Prices will vary according to condition and
salability. Ask before you throw it out!
Appraisals: We are accredited appraisers and will appraise
single books or entire libraries for insurance or estate
purposes. The fee for this service is waived if we purchase the
books.
