LOX SOX AND BURROW
A warm welcome comes to you from Lox, Sox and Burrow in Paisley, Ontario.
Opened in August 2006 by Owner, Sandra Blodgett, this quaint store in the heart
of town provides something for everyone, from your Lox to your Sox, in three
special rooms.
The "Walk-in-Closet" features gently used, casual clothing for all ages. The
price is hard to beat anywhere...$3.00 each or 5 for $10. The store also features
baby clothing at 1/2 that price. Donated clothing is accepted. Do you want to
make a little extra from the clothes you don't need anymore? See Sandra about
consignment. These items are specially priced.
Besides providing unbeatable prices on preowned items, Lox Sox and Burrow is
dedicated to helping others. Donated clothing that cannot be sold in the store is
either sent on to charity or to local Mennonite ladies who turn damaged clothes into quilts for the
less fortunate of the world. This is a very special interest project of
the store. Also, she has begun to feature some other refashioning artists.
Janice Witty, a 19 year old girl from Oshawa area has taken some unwanted tube tops and
fashioned them into some outstanding bags that would be useful as fashionable purses,
bookbags, or as gym bags. They are soft, colourful, unique and are being given away at a price of
just $14.99.
As well, Candace Burton of Elmwood, is displaying her bags on the rack at Lox, Sox and Burrow.
Her bags are more for the evening out. She creates evening purses from a stiffer material, like
jackets and quality furniture fabrics, with stunning results. See calls her company Candy Bags.
Sandra is hoping to designate yet another room to just refashioned items within the next year. If
you are a sewer and would like to give your brand a try, please contact her about your ideas.
Chances are she has fabrics that you can use. She needs all the sewers she can get because this
refashioned thing is the way of the next generation.
It doesn't stop there. Lox Sox and Burrow also features new casual clothing
including lines by Skechers, Holey Soles, and Eye2i sunglasses. You'll also find a
random selection of name brand items like Ralph Lauren Polo, Carters, Gymboree,
Gap, Levi's , Miss Sixty, DKNY, Relaxus and Greendog.
